A boutique shop gets back to basics.
Interior design, restoration, remodeling, space plan, color, lighting graphics, signage and displays for a family-owned, neighborhood wine shop. Shelving was designed to dynamically convey the shops’ extensive, signature wine selection by filling the entire expanse of the wall. Lighting was designed to advertise the store in the evening. All signs were painted to maintain a vintage feel and historic style. The welcoming ambiance in the space accommodates wine tastings and events.
“At night when I’m shutting down the store I stand back in utter awe and amazement at what we’ve created here. This store is a real work of art. Business is booming and we've opened a second location using the same design. People love coming in and sales prove it. I’m so glad that I hired you.” – Flavio Gentile, owner, Printers Row Wine Shop
The entire retail space was restored from the uncovered original hardwood floors up to the tin ceiling, then outfitted with custom woodwork and cabinetry. The design plan was duplicated into a second sister store in Chicago’s Little Italy.
